5 Tips – Home Remedies for Healing Warts
Warts are typically found on the hands and feet and are very common. They are caused by HPV (Human Papillomavirus) and are contagious if direct contact with the skin of the infected person is made. - Tea Tree Oil: Treat the wart with undiluted tea tree essential oil. Using a cotton swab apply the oil to the wart several times a day.
- Garlic & Vitamin E: Clean your hands and the area around the wart thoroughly. Open the vitamin gel cap and apply the vitamin E directly to the wart. Then apply chopped fresh garlic to the wart and cover with a clean bandage. Leave the garlic on the wart for 24 hours. It is common for a blister to form this is normal. After a week the wart should fall off.
- Potatoes: This is an easy and economical way to treat your wart. Cut a raw potato and apply to the wart several throughout the day for at least two weeks. This should speed up the demise of your wart.
- Castor oil: Warm a small amount of castor oil and apply to a clean bandage. Tape the bandage over the wart. Change the bandage three times a day. The wart should be gone within a week.
- Apple Cider vinegar: Each night, before bed, apply Vaseline around the wart to protect the uninfected skin. Then take a small piece of cotton ball and soak it in the apple cider vinegar. Place the wet cotton directly over the wart and wrap with waterproof tape. Remove bandage in the morning. Keep applying the apple cider vinegar in this manner until the wart disappears. It could take up to a month, but should work.
